Making the move to Vista 64 -- Edius 5

I'm probably taking on too much at the same time but I bought a new hard drive and installed Vista 64. Before I put Edius 5 on, what needs to be done to the setup of Vista? This is my first copy of Vista of any flavor and it's already got plenty of growning pains for me. Any tweaks anyone can recommend would be great. I am working mainly in SD but have a couple of HD projects someone shot for us.
