Video effect: Waving flag

I want to create a waving flag for a DVD menu. In V5 under GPU effects it shows Ripple/Flag and this looks quite OK, except that it is a transition. When applied as mixer, it automatically adds transparency at the beginning or end that I cannot remove.

Other than using After Effects, or BluffTitler (which gives stairstepping), does anyone know if this effect is available with the full version of Edius 5 (VitaScene, NewBlue), or perhaps ProDad Heroglyph?

I think that this is available in Vitascene.... if there is not a preset I'm sure that you can create it
