  • Is Prodad Adorage from Edius 4 supported in Edius 5?

Is anyone using Prodad Adorage from Edius 4.XX in Edius 5? Does anyone know if there are any problems using it? Does anyone know if it is supported by canopus? Thanks in advance for any responses.

Adorage works as standalone, and you will find the Adorage transitions after installation of V5 under Effect Tab: Transitions (ProDAD). Same as in V4. As far as I have tried, it works as before.

Thanks. Did you simply install from the disc that came with Edius 4 (bonus features I think?)? I did a complete erase and install of vista and edius 5 so Edius 4 not on my system any more! No issues so far?

      Once again thanks!

ProDAD Adorage is installed as separate application. When I uninstalled V4, I did not uninstall Adorage. When V5 was installed, Adorage was in the effects/transitions tab. I guess you can install from the V4 disc, and Edius 5 should see it. I am not sure if you need to install Adorage first for V5 to see it.

Digital Juice is having a 50% off on All-In -One Collection of Adorage Transitions and Video FX if you like their stuff.

Thanks for the link to the DJ/ProDAD offer. Great value. Bought it and using it successfully in Edius 5. No issues encountered as yet. Installed fine and works smoothly.

Adorage will slow the rendering process though.

Is there much usable stuff that is not in the effects that come with Edius 5?

Depends what you are doing. Some effects are cheesy. For the price I can see me using some of the effects. At full price it may not be so good.

                              Hi,

I unistalled EDIUS 4.x and make a clean installation of EDIUS 5. The adorage didn't show up to the effect pallet.

I dowloaded the service pack 3.0.57 and now even i can see the effects inside EDIUS, the Adorage became locked.

                              Any ideas?
