Edius 5 & TM Pro from edius 4.0

I have the original TM Pro disc that came with version 4 of Edius. I have uninstalled Edius 4.6 and have installed the full version of Edius 5 which came with my new HD Storm board.

How do I install TM Pro for Edius 5. When I run the install it says it cannot find Edius.

Another question, Do I need a serial number for TM Pro? if so im out of luck as I have no idea where it would be.

PS: I love the ability to directly send the timeline to encode for the Apple TV, the quality is Great!!! Well Done GV on this!!!

The answer from Kenneally (GV): "HDSTORM/HDSTORM Plus does not include TMP."

So you can not use the TM pro from previous Edius to install in E5. Maybe someone will know the way to do it :-).

when you uninstall Edius 4.6, untick TmPro so it won't be uninstalled

install Edius5

copy paste the Tmpro folder from Edius4 to Edius5

Must I uninstall 5 then re-install 4.6 then install 5 again? I presume so, just im feeling lazy.

After install Edius 5,
take the CD provided in the package : "TMP upgrade for V5" , install it.
And, after a few seconds, it asks to put the original TMP (from V3 or V4) in the DVD player.
Work in progress ...
You don't need a serial number for TM Pro.

I kinda doubt that TMP for E4 will simply work with E5 by copy/paste.

I did find that un-ticking TMP during uninstall of E4 simplified installing TMP for E5.
No disc insertion of v3/4 TMP required!

Hi Alan, how're you doing? Where did you get your HDStorm from? I want to get the Edius 5 upgrade but my dealer in Singapore can't even get a reply from the distributor (Convergent) regarding when they will be bringing it in. The local support here for Grass Valley is non-existent (If you've found a better lobang than I have, please share).

I have a CD extra for TMP in my package Edius 5 (it seems an upgrade for V5).

Strange, some of us received TM with Edius5 and others not...WHY ????
But here my old version works...who knows the difference between the 2 TM
