  • AVCHD Files MTS

    I am new to the software and need some help. When i create a project I am able to add the mts files from my cannon HG10 to the root and add the files. I am able to see the still image when adding the file and in the title editor when adding a title. I am unable to see any picture in the player or the other window that i can't remember what it is called the viewer maybe. When i play the clips i can't see the footage in the software but only hear choppy sound. Are the files too big. Why can't i see them? I have a quad core 4GB or ram and a raptor hard drive. I am running server 03 X64 bit.

      One last thing

      Sorry i do not know how to add to a previous thread.

      I can't even view a small wmv file that has been compressed as a web video. I can hear the sound and it is not choppy, but still is not viewing in the player or viewer

        okay, no replay at this time, ..... so I must jump in this topic with my poor english.....

        Canon HG10 = AVCHD cam
        AVCHD files = not appropriate to play back from timeline clean\ smoothly,
        AVCHD files = not appropriate to editing on timeline
        AVCHD files = needs to convert to HQ.avi

        a) convert to HQ.avi = per set in and out >> export between in\out to HQ.avi
        b) convert to HQ.avi = convert in the bin to HQ.avi
        c) convert to HQ.avi = per AVCHD-to-Canopus HQ Conversion Utility (v2.10)

        AVCHD-to-Canopus HQ Conversion Utility (v2.10) is aviable on your user account under
        Product-related Downloads >> General Utilities >> HQ Conversion Utility (v2.10)

        Filename: Canopus_AVCHD_converter_v2.10.zip
        Released: 05/16/2008
        Size: 7.65MB

        first Attention: read the ReadMe ....( in better english than mine) ... there are two ways to convert
        per icon = all cores near to 100% = extremely fast, but no resources for other applications
        normal = not all cores near to 100% = slow, but resource remaining for other applications

        second Attention:
        concert per a) and b) variant .... date timestamp from your clips are aviable in the bin column "date\time"
        concert per c) variant .... date timestamp from your clips are not aviable in the bin column "date\time"
        the stupid Conversion Utility (v2.10) killed it, not friendly from the tool. but it is where it is.....

        :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: ::::::::.

        Edius Version 4 = support only XP + SP2 (32bit)
        if it runs on on 64bit ... it can ran, but he must not
        ditto for server 03 ......it can ran, but he must not

        :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: :::::::

        can you contributing for Edius a second disk or second primary-partition with a 32bit XP+SP2 ???

        what for Edius 4.xx you are use ...4.1 >> 4.61 ???
        please a bit more info about GPU-card ... overlay-settings ... etc.

        excuse my gibberish english ... greetings from europe\austria\vienna .... old (but not morbid) Hans ;-)
