Edius 5 and Vista 64 bit

    My only complaint about Vista x64 is the lack of support from eSellerate to properly work with NewBlueFX VST registration. Very frustrating, I can't wait until it's fixed!

    BTW... NewBlueFX/eSellerate work 100% with XP.

      Rusty, I have never had a problem with the NewblueFX at all, on Vista 64bit.

        Also mine newblue FX works fine in V64

          Just to be clear here... you're talking about the VST that were NOT released with Edius 5, right?
          Mine install in E5, but do not register through eSellerate.

            Just upgraded Photoshop CS3 to CS4 64bit !
            Awesome performance and not any more resource problems.

            Photomerge 24 pics EOS 1Ds Mark III photos, just perfect !

              Update Your TMPGEn 4.0 to latest version.
              Use Nvidia CUDA drivers.
              Render Your video with Video noise option.

                    so... no prbs with 64bit Vista? I would guess that the extra ram would allow a higher buffer setting too.
                    A friend of mine just bought a Dell for his home office.
                    This might even be a cool starting Edius box.
                    I like the fact that it comes with 8gigs of ram.
                    Any comments?

                      8 gigs of RAM is overkill for EDIUS alone.

                      However if you want to have Photoshop and After Effects running at the same time that you have EDIUS open and you do a lot of heavy work, then 8GB is a good spot. Maybe 16GB in the future :)
