  • Importing subtitles

    hi folks

I'm new to Edius V5, the software seems great and powerful and well conceived but I need this software provided I can import subtitles made with Subtitle workshop for instance. I tried Heroglyph with the Edius plug-in, but it cannot import a large text (.txt), I tried with a .sub but it didn't work either. There's no step by step link for that, just for titles. I need to translate the whole feature, not titles from time to time.
May be that's a stupid question but if Edius V5 can't do it I'll stay with DVD lab pro or does anyone know another software that can outsmart Edius in case ?

    Thanks

Can you import that into Title Motion Pro first?

Subtitling isn't really the realm of EDIUS. You're better off doing it in the DVD application.

subtitles can't be part of the video

you need to add them as a subtitle stream in DVD Lab Pro or similar and then during compile, the subtitle stream is included (muxed) into the final vob
