Kenneally noted in another thread that this package doesn't include the HD-Out card. Does this mean that the HD-Out card (with or without FireCoder chip) will be sold seperately in the near future? This would be very good news :)

I do not see this offer for the Americas. Only NX Express for US$1199.

I will clarify this as soon as I can.

Normally, the separate HD/SD component output card is a standard PCI card, with no MPEG chip - that's an NX Express exclusive (since NX Express always comes with the two boards).

Thanks, Kenneally! For years now I'm asking about the possibility of selling the HD-Out seperately. Since the Spring Deal includes the breakout box a full blown HDV Upgrade kit wouldn't make any sense at all for those customers.

It would appear that if you buy this bundle, and then later buy the HD expansion, you'll end up with two NX Bays.

A quirk that will now hopefully be discussed within GV sales!

I saw this but rolled right over it since I saw no visual reference to anything but the E4 software, NX being further down, so thinking all would be there, not attached with the software picture.

Actually, they are not lowering the price because of changes, there is a real grass roots campaign going on to get the word about the Grass Valley Hardware and software.

There are competitive upgrades and sales all over the place :)
