    Izotope is no longer part of EDIUS as of 6.5, but was part of older versions and yes, there were always workarounds involved in order to use it

    Hello, thanks - I just used the Izotope EQ first. I foolishly assumed that it must be a better EQ tool otherwise why would Grass Valley bother adding it. I have just played with the standard EQ tools and totally agree - no delay.

    That makes life easier. Thanks again!

    Are you using MP3? if so try Wave, also try Edius EQ instead of the plugins EQ.

    Hello, I have learnt a lot from this post - thank you!

    But I have a related question which in fact may be unrelated - rather than just reduce the music level during voiceover I prefer to apply EQ to reduce the music frequencies that are around human voice frequencies (make a gap for the voice). It seems that Edius shifts by 2 frames when EQ is applied, which makes this a cumbersome process.

    ok, so... on this one I now find crow more delicious than usual. (I also seem to have my foot firmly planted where my dinner should be.)

    On first look the Rubber Band behavior seemed chaotic at best. Where was the control? I had no idea about bounding the automatic nodes with added nodes, much less the new Application Setting.

    Thanks Anton, for setting me straight on this one.

    I do like how the Shift+Drag adjustment also works with non-automatic nodes. Now where is my Help file??? (Anton?)

    I like this new feature

    example:

    add a rubberband point on music track just before voiceover starts

    add a rubberband point on the same music track just after voiceover finishes

    now hold shift as you drag in between, 2 new rubberband points are created at a preset distance, in my case 24 frames allowing for quick audio ducking during voiceover

    now to fine adjust this new ducked level without adding a further 2 nodes, hold shift as you drag in the ducked area

    hold shift+alt as you drag and all nodes will move

    if you preset the rubberband points to 0 frames, none will be added

    You can use "right mouse click" + "o" :-)
    I use the right mouse click to have more control, only use ALT+mouse drag (E4) to pull the whole audio down to 0

    Oooooh I knew I shouldn't have gone there... sorry.
    I also said I could probably figure out its usefulness.

    The addition of the feature makes enough sense and it may have its uses for me in the long run. However, remapping familiar mouse+keyboard moves and adding nodes at less than predictable/useful increments may have moved my comment toward the less supportive side. I'm going back now to edit my original post... (despite the damage)

    I also get the message "Failed to Launch Help" from E5, so where is there a complete listing of features?

    "shift+alt.+drag" seems to Scale All, not Move All. Am I missing something? Where's Move All?

    new mantra (shift+alt...,shift+alt...,shift+alt...)

    Shift-Alt-Drag to move all
    Shift-Drag to move a section's bounding points
    Alt-Drag to move a section without disturbing the neighbors - it has to add level points in order to separate the section

    Just because it's not useful to you doesn't make it absurd.

    Okay... trying out new features on guinea pigs like us is always fun and usually good, but this one makes less sense than usual.

    In v4 "Alt.+Mouse Drag" would Move All rubber band points. This worked well enough for me.
    In v5 "Alt.+Mouse Drag" now does the crazy new dance called "Add two points and move..." Okay, so maybe I can learn that one, but why at the expense of the original "Alt.+Mouse Drag"? And there seems to be no keyboard shortcut or a way to remap Keyboard+Mouse shortcuts.

    I can only hope we are not stuck with this rather silly (imo) new feature in future updates. Anton may back me up on this one, but as in my luck, he'll probably like it. :~)
