Apple motion JPEG B in 5.0?

It looks like with the loss of Procoder express in 5.0 we are no longer able to export to Apple Motion JPEG B? I have the upgraded Procoder 3.0 now working in conjunction with E 5.0 which gives me the ability back, but I am surprised that it is not one of the default export options in E 5.0. This one is still important when supplying clips to the general stock market ....

That is a very good point.

After all, many of us paid for the Broadcast version only to be shafted in the upgrade price. With the versions being unified, I would have thought that pricing from Broadcast 4 to E5 should have been different than pricing from E4 to E5.
So why not shaft everyone again that has purchased Procoder 1, 2, and 3.

PC3 isn't disappearing any time soon, and from Jan 1st, 2009, there will be different prices for E4 Pro to E5 vs E4 Broadcast to E5.

We aren't 'shafting' anyone - instead we are offering the same product to everyone, to minimise support skewing, and give everyone an opportunity to get up to date at the same time.

In that case, I would hope that the package price remains as is for users of Broadcast after the 1st of the year.

If you do not have any of the plugins or Broadcast, $249 is a GREAT deal! That said, if you have most of the 3rd party plugins and Broadcast, purchasing many of the items twice really is not a pleasing thought.
