Why not use RAID 0? Unless you use 5 drives in a RAID 5 then it's your only option for performance. -
Thanks. I know what RAID is, (and not to use RAID 0) just never heard it called "video array". Drive array yes. Like I said, my stupidity.Leave a comment:

Video should be stored on hard drives not loaded with the operating system. The "video drive" where you store your captured video should be a minimum of a RAID 0 with 2 drives. This is what I mean by a video array, hope that helps, if not just google "RAID 0"Leave a comment:

I have got to agree with Mark, go a bigger power supply like 750 or 850 watt, the Graphics card is heavy on power.

You probably should get a more powerfull power supply and you would need a video array too.Leave a comment:

How about this system:
HP Pavilion Elite m9450f
Asus IPIBL-LB motherboard
Core 2 Quad Q9300 (Y) 2.5 GHz
8GB 800MHz DDR2 SDRAM (PC2-6400)
NVIDIA GeForce 9800GT graphics with 512MB dedicated memory
750 GB system drive
460W powersupply
Does this sound reasonable to use w/ Edius 5 and NX Express? Any experiences with this mobo / graphic card?
Thanks,

Intel seems to work better. I do not know about the board you are referring to.Leave a comment:

Compatible motherboard?
Does anyone know about compatibility of Asus M2N78-LA motherboard with Edius 5 and NX Express? It's for an AMD quad-core. How does Edius & NX Express like AMD systems? Intel better?
Thanks,
