  • Edius 5 and Titlemotion Pro

Just got Edius 5 today and am presently installing it.

Uninstalled 4.61 and installed 5 without any glitches.

Then tried to install Titlemotion Pro. In the installation procedure, it is requesting me to insert the disc that came with my edius 4 copy. I have a problem: when I got my Edius 4.5 copy last year, I didn't have a copy of TitlemotionPro included. I sent an E-Mail to the retailer (Videoguys) and they sent me to the GrassValley FTP site where I downloaded a copy of titlemotionpro. I installed it and everything was fine.

But now with the Edius 5 installation of TitlemotionPro, it is requesting me to insert a copy of the Titlemotion disc that came with my Edius 4. Problem is: I don't have such a disc, so the installation fails.

    What do I do?

    Thanks

    Rick

How did you install the TM Pro the first time on your computer (with CD ?) ?
If you got it with the NX bundle then you can use the old TM Pro CD for this new installation.

WHAT. They sent you to an FTP site? Did they give you a serial number?

They don't sell Grass Valley anymore do they........

          The end

Sorry for not getting back to you earlier, I was away for the weekend.

I wrote an e-mail to Canopus TechSupport. They told me that TMP was never included in my original package and that they had sent me to download it on an FTP site as a "Goodwill" gesture.

Out of another "Goodwill" gesture, they said they would send me another TMP copy so that I may be able to use it to get the newer version from the V5 update.

I guess this closes this post.

All is well that ends well...... Is that how the old saying goes????

          Thanks all.

Glad to hear all is well. But sending you to the FTP site (if I understand what you are saying correctly) should be a big no-no.

From time to time, Tech Support will create a special download for exceptional circumstances, temporarily. I'm guessing that's what happened here. Certainly, it's not normal for TMP to be available online.
