  • Wrong Motherboard.

    Hi,

I have got an ASUS P5K3(Deluxe) motherboard and talking
with an Official Canopus Reseller, I've asked them for issues or
problems or incompatibilities between Edius Nx-Pci-Express
    and the motherboard mentioned above.

They said : "It's fully compatible".

    Well, it's not true.

The PCI-Express X1 slot on the motherboard, is too close to the RAM. For this reason, it's impossible to install the Edius Board.

On that motherboard there are a couple of further PCI-Express slot available.

The first is the blue one (16x), the second is black (8x).

I'd like to know, If I can install the Edius NX PCI-Ex, in the black one (8x).

    Thanks.

As far as mu knowledge goes all the 1x to 16x slots work on the same voltage etc, so it should not provide any issue other than that you loose one of your faster slots as the NX card is only 1x.

Actually the NX board does not fit in X1 slot, because hits the RAM.

Just leave the 1x slot empty, how much you want to plug-in anyway ?
