  • shoud i have scsi hard disk to work with edius hd card ?

    hi ,

    i have 2tb sata 2 raid0 on my edius hd system

    should i have scsi to work with hd uncompressed files ?

    is it good quality if i use hq codec to work with hd ???

    You should be fine and the quality of HQ is very good.

      With your current system, can you capture to all of your raid? if yes then you are fine, if no then you might need faster raid card, I used to have Highpoint 1820A card and it only fast enough to let me capture a little over half of my 1tb raid and then I get error saying that drive is too slow, I switch to 3ware 9550sx and now I can capture all of my raid. I don't think you need SCSI.

          I used to have Highpoint 1820A card and it only fast enough to let me capture a little over half of my 1tb raid and then I get error saying that drive is too slow
          the latest high point controllers are perfect! I have used a few to make RAID5 and stripe volumes with 8-10 Sata drives and they were very fast!!! Better than any SCSI setup I have seen lately....
