There is nothing wrong/illegal with selling you a PC and a OSX disk though.
They are selling you a PC and leasing you the software, you have to read the operating system's EULA, leasing contracts are much different than outright sales.
Anyway anyone with a spare C note can get a OS86 on a PC, there are enough hacks and videos floating the net.

Hey I got Leopard running on my 3 year old PC here for fun.

I don't know about them selling you a PC with OSX installed, APPLE don't want that ever to happen as no one would buy their overpriced fancy boxes and they would go broke.

However if everyone just started doing it then there would be just too many people for APPLE to go after. I often wonder though if I brought say a music CD but was told I can only play it on one brand of player, it's kind of the same thing. Or imagine we buy EDIUS and are told we can only install it on a certain brand computer.

I was considering HD Storm. Can you gather what the motherboard actually is?
Actaully the specs for the higher end OpnePro list the following slots:
    # The OpenPro has two PCI-Express 16x slots (one is taken up by the video card)
    # three PCI-Express 1x slots
    # and 2 standard PCI slots

One thing I noticed when looking at the detailed specs, the motherboard only has 1 PCI Express 1x slot. Doesn't say if it is free either. So if you want to use an NX Express system, there aren't enough slots. OK for HDStorm though.

Seems to me the computer still should be usable, maybe I'd have to remove OX10? I suppose it is taking a chance!

In putting together a system from their site, the pricing is quite amazing...even for a loaded PC...I'm still finding out all the details of the motherboard, slots available, etc...but I am intrigued.
Maybe I'll call them to ask what they would offer if they lose their suit.

They have been very responsive so far to my questions.

I could even buy one for Windows only.
