OK normally we do a lot of batch capture to capture about an hour of material of 4 or 5 tapes... with edius 4.6x we get 'Please insert reel 001' this message appears after every clip is captured no matter if the tape is the same and this is a pain in the brain to 22 or 24 clips...
BTW: thanks for you interest :)

imposible tener vista 64 y la NX pinchada, y dices que va fino?
that is fine? is not to call thin.
If I have connected the NX pci Xpres I can not even install

Be VERY careful on this upgrade! it is not without fault.
I think this was caused by a RAM problem.
Windows x64 ate this (old) project. Thank gawd for backups!Leave a comment:

Vista x64 Performance :~)
WOW!
I just installed Vista x64 Ultimate and the performance difference is amazing! E5 and NX seem to be operating quite happily on a fresh install, so I'm happy for now!
I'm particularly impressed with how fast I can switch apps. On the same box Edius would take 10 sec. to grind from minimized to restored. Now it takes one sec.! Even the Vitascene window behaves better, not tangled up in the pallets or complaining about too little GPU memory.
:~)
Still waiting for the appearance of the long-hidden "Sync Mode" button.Last edited by Rusty; 09-24-2008, 06:09 AM.Leave a comment:

100% correct Brandon, XP64 bit was never a main stream operating system,
and was never sold as a retail operating system.

As someone who's running XP 64-bit myself, I can sympathize. However, XP 64-bit was never meant to be a mainstream OS, and it was never available as a retail item. At best it was for "power users" but I really don't see Microsoft supporting it much now that Vista 64-bit is available.
Vista isn't too bad if you turn off all the flashy stuff, optimize for Best Performance, use Windows Classic folders. If it wasn't so much of a PITA to change OSes, I'd move from XP 64-bit to Vista 64-bit.Leave a comment:

It is a driver for Vista 64Bit - I tested it with Vista Ultimate 64Bit and the NX and it works fine.
I suspect that it will work with Windows X64 Edition and NX too.Leave a comment:

WIN XP 64 BIT driver
We have Windows Xp 64 bit with 4 gb of RAM and works fine but no driver for our NX card, so we installed win xp 32 bit with the driver of the NX and works pretty fine but it just shows 2,3 gb of ram... We just downloaded the Edius 5 demo and test it with the win 32 and no major issues (please excuse my latin english), but we´re still interested about the 64 bit driver:
"Key New Features of EDIUS v5:
Windows Vista support, including 64-bit drivers for EDIUS NX, EDIUS SP and EDIUS SD/HD hardware"
is it a driver for Xp and Vista?... Do we have to buy a license for vista or we could get a driver for Win WP 64 bit?Tags: None
