is the DVD software that comes with Edius 5 DVDMF 6plus by Ulead? Can you export markers from Edius into it or do I need to manually enter them?

I don't think there's an Edius export directly to MovieMaker... just a cheap (imho) bundle to satisfy some.Rusty Rogers | Films

Its good that there making a 7, I was playing with 6plus and it ALMOST does everything "I" need to make general DVDs. I always hoped they would make a DVDWS 3 maybe that can get close with MF 7.Randy

On the other hand it's a very easy software to use, nice for beginners, but people who use Edius are far past that.
IMHO this would compliment Edius Neo fine, but is completely wrong in Edius !
p.s. even in the Pro version DVDW2 you don't have the ability to import chapter point
Hopefully Movie Maker 7 does it, but if it is the LE or SE version you can surely dream about it.

I Have been using DVDW2 for many years now and have become, sort of used to the limitations.
My work requires me to have 50 or more chapters on each project (speeches + q & A) and on VBR mpeg2 files it take me about 30 to 40 minutes work to get the chapter points in by hand.
CBR files work flawless but VBR it just takes ages to find the I points, hopefully this is addressed in version 7.
As per Antons recommendation I'm learning now DVDLab pro, but it's not easy, it has truly amazing capabilities though ............

I tried closed gop but the project length of averaging 3 to 3 1/2 hour makes the compression not so efficient, and won't be able to fit the rendered file on a single layer DVD-R. (it's not feasible to use DVD9 as production cost will rise to high)
As far as I can remember it didn't make any difference with the "speed" of finding the chapter I point in DVDW2, I could be doing something wrong though ?
Beside this issue (my wrong doing or not) the fact still stands that Ulead movie maker is extremely limited in creating exciting menu's and should be labeled as .......... :)
I will continue to learn DVDlab pro and watch the progress of Movie Factory from a distance (never know what it might become, but never Like Encore)
