If I understand the question....TMpro is on a seperate disc, so if you don't want it you don't have to install it

Because people with a EDIUS bundle without tmpro will have a big problem if the installer asks for a previous disk.
The scream will be loud and clear

I was suprised too.... but luckily I had several copies. So far all is well and I'm enjoying the 3rd party software as well

You're welcome Dianne.
I must say, I'm surprised the TMP installation asked for the older disc. That's unfortunate, but probably necessary in verifying you are a previous owner.
It could get hairy though, when we get to people with an upgrade from before TMP's reign..

Edius 5.0 Installation
I picked up my E5 today and have everything installed. It all went pretty smoothly, although it did take quite some time as there are so many programs to install. I opened Edius and made sure everything worked before I went on to the next one.
A couple of things to watch for. You will be asked to provide a serial number from a previous version. Title Motion asked me to put in a disc from my E4. And I wasn't sure if I actually registered Mercalli, but it does seem to be up and working.
I opened a project that I was previously working on and all went well. I did however backit up before I moved forward.
So far all is well! I'm pretty much doing SD, but hope to try out some HD footage soon.
Thanks Grass Valley!Tags: None
