do you want your finished DVD to look letterboxed on a 4:3TV? (this is what I would prefer)

that way, your DVD will fill the screen on a 16:9TV and 4:3TV users will not miss out on any info that you would otherwise cut off in order to fill a 4:3 screen

can you export 5 seconds of your HD timeline to a new Canopus HQ 1440x1080 file and upload it somewhere, then I will use VD and T4 and DVD Lab Pro and email you back a finished NTSC VIDEO_TS folder that you can burn and test

So new to HD waters.. So much to learn....

If I'm understanding this thread correctly:

If you shoot something in HD (In my case 1920x1080/60P - is that the correct way to type that out), and I want to downgrade to an SD NTSC enviroment, if I don't use VirtualDub, I'm going to find a lot of heartache from the edius conversion?

      Is that correct?

if you only shoot people, the Edius down conversion should be fine

if you shoot things like real estate, buildings with lots of detail or any other technical stuff with fine detail etc., then the Edius down conversion will not be to your liking
