E4.5 to 5 whats best

Hi to all,

I am new to Edius so apologies for what may seem basic questions, I am also moving over form Avid LE7 and can't wait to get started.

Having just got my E4.5 not yet installed, what's best, wait for E5 before I start my learning curve?
How long will it be before it reaches the UK or is there a full download available?
Lastly is a clean install to E5 essential or will it write over the top of E4?

best for 5.0 ...sys disk formated... fresh OS .... fresh Install

for learning it is not major difference, but you can lern on the 5.0 demo
but they have at this time no help, no manuals.

but you can load down from "Edius Trainig" site the manuals from 4.5 ....

I would first install V4.5 the upgrade it to the V4.61. And get to know it first before starting with V5 , Have a look around on GV for the basic training tips also there are some taring tips on Youtube and other training tips on other web pages.I would sayin the beginng you may fined that LE did somthing easier than Eduis and that goes for any person who moves from one NLE system. On this forum there is a lot of helpful info and the members are very helpful, so ask there is no dumb questions.

But is E5 available as a full version down load, my UK Dealer dose not know when the boxed set will be in the UK.

No. You need a new dongle which is in the box.
But you can dowload the demo and use it for 30 days. Only the third party stuff will be what is missing.
