  • problems with a\b roll HD editing

    Hi..
i'm using EDIUS 4.6 and was trying to edit a\b roll HD. after a few moments the computer got stuck and wouldn't move untill I reboot.
    my hardware:
    intel quad core
    asus p5k workstation m\b
    2048 RAM
    canopus DVX
    geforce 8800GT 512MB

btw - the project was opened on these specs:
    generic OHCI HD 50Hz 1440x1080 50i
AND THE PROJECT WAS NOT OPENED ON THE THE CANOPUS CARD.

While trying to edit on a much lower specs computer (pentium D, 2gigs) i managed to edit HD a\b roll.

please help me, i'm losing money! :)

your computer did not get stuck

what happened is that a little window popped to tell you that playback stopped (because of a dropped frame), and until you click its ok button, the computer won't respond

this little window if often hard to see due to the Edius color scheme, it should really be bigger and maybe a different color

you can disable stop playback when frames are dropped in application settings, then you won't have this problem again

Anton sounds correct on this one... hit the Spacebar to clear the dialog box.
