Edius 5 & .mov file

Hi

I uninstall edius 4.6 and install edius 5 trial version. I found Edius 5
don't work with .mov file, why.

In edius 4.x is possible to import .mov files without problem.

Yes, make sure the QT packaged with the demo archive is installed.

I make an upgrade now to quicktime 7. Same problem, but
is ok. I use procoder to convert .mov to avi to work around
to this problem.

I have a mother board gigabyte ga-965p-dq6 with intel core 2 duo 2.3g,
4 giga of memory, windows vista ultimate 64, radeon x1650 pro 512 meg.
video card and 4 sata 200g hard drives.

I work many proyects with some .mov files in edius 4.6 in
windows vista ultimate 64 without problem. Maybe I need to wait
for another 5.x version or buy a full version.

Do you know what flavour of QT the files are? (H.264? Sorenson 3? etc)

You can import that mov file and convert it to HQ from within the bin. It will also retain any alpha information included.
