It's testament to the ROI that our boards do offer. But DVStorm is very much dead, and has been for many years.

This will not change. Nor will this thread, apparently.

It also shows how innovative users can be! If people can make use of their older cards to work in an older format, what's the problem? IMO, GV should create a legacy program, (while unsupported) could acknowledge their fine work from the past.

Spark is a good idea for those up to date in the HDMI world, but there's a huge number of users who probably feel left out and have found a fairly simple workaround.

Despite the risks, I'm all for using products outside of their intended usages. (For example, we built a giant whiteboard from our Wii remote) When the benefits outweigh the risks, do it!

    To re-state what K said.

THIS IS NOT RECCOMENDED and IT IS NOT SUPPORTED.

Use these tricks at your own risk.

ok, I know! I also don't reccomend that to any professional user!

DVStorm working on Edius 5 instructions (discovered by a friend of mine)

    Install Edius 5
Install Edius 4.6 (with DVStorm drivers)
Open 4.6 and create your preferred DVStorm setting, close 4.6
    Open Edius 5
The Storm setting is now active
Place a clip on the timeline
    Voila!! DVStorm with analog output
has anyone tried that with a DVX board? it should work... the driver is the same...

I really don't recommend this. Likely what is happening, is that version 4 files are overwriting critical files for version 5.

If you do this and something breaks/crashes/acts awry, you are well and truly on your own.
