I don't understand why they're not keen on posting the SN here... I mean it's out there anyway and it's just for the demo.

It's because Google is VERY good at finding our forums, and some people out there are very good at distributing files they shouldn't, and we want the demo to only come from one place. This prevents tampering with the archive, and ensures we have an accurate feed of downloads. All rather important stuff.

Anyway, back to the task at hand - I refreshed the number last night, and tested it and it works. If you are typing it in manually, do not use "O" - they are zeros only ("0"). We never use "O" in our numbers.

There is a hyphen - it must be included. The number is six characters, then the hyphen, then 16 characters. No more, no less.

Good point, so what IS the correct SN? Adding a seventh 7 does not do it ether.

IMO, the (correct) SN should be sent with the download link.
How can something so simple produce such varied results?

But what to do when you got 32 type in your posted serial number. I have try several time but not suceded. I must be an easier way, please let me know

Good to hear I'm not alone on this one.

I first went as far as clearing my cache in Chrome and refreshing the page.
Then went to a second (fresh) machine (using Firefox) with the same *%^#@ results!

Okay, I get it...
It may take longer, but who's to say the Google bots won't find the SN on the GV download page?

They'd have to fool account registration. I'd be impressed.

Trying the Edius5 demo on Vista.

Make sure there is no space at the end of the serial number when copying and pasting. A lot of people ran into this problem with the 4.x demo.

I just successfully installed the trial on a fresh Vista system - no issues with the serial number at all.

Typing vs. copy/paste doesn't work ether!
It's only 2:30 PDT... that should be enough time to straighten it out today... right? ;~}
