  • Pixel Shader Test?

Does anyone know of a reliable Pixel Shader Test software?

Everything I've seen so far points to NVIDIA 6800 series boards...

Do I need to go there? :~/

    Rusty,
I've been using that 8800 gts 512 on Vitascene and it works great. Believe it or not, so does the little Sapphire HD 2600XT 512. I guess my question would be, will DirectX 10 give a little boost over DirectX 9?

Not that I am aware of - I believe that in order to support XP, we stayed with D3D9.

DirectX 10 is only supported in Vista not XP, if you have
        vista yes.

The GV Hardware Compatibility page only lists these cards as tested and passing with the new GPUfx transitions...

          FireGL V5200
          Radeon HD 3780
          GeForce 8xxx Series (GeForce 8400*/8500/8600/8800*)
          GeForce 9xxx Series
          Quadro FX1700

I have a new laptop with a 7950 GTX adapter and no real clue on how to test it. I've found some gamer tests that cover pixel shader stuff, but no answer on compatibility.

A quick look on The Google and I found this article. It looks like my laptop will be fine. Needless to say, Edius 4.61 looked AMAZING on this laptop. (until I un-installed it for the not-working v5)

I still wish there were a simpler test than installing Edius... oh, for the simple days of RexTest! :~/
