I think that this maybe a deck problem. I have a friend who uses FCP and he has a similar problem with a DSR 11 deck.

    Just a thought ,
but make sure the switch 'Auto Repeat'
at the back of your Sony deck is set to 'off'

This is a shot in the dark, but go to Settings>Application Settings>Deck Settings, and check at the bottom of the first box and see what your Deck Control After Capture is set to. Try changing it.

Ok... I am not sure what to say on this one! :)

It works with the DVCAM full size but not on the miniDV? That is to weird! I do wonder if it is a deck problem but I want to make sure we cover eerything to make things right for you if it is on our end.

I would suggest ccalling Tech support on this one. I am not sure that anyone has seen this before and they can try to help as well as document the problem also.

Well that is weird, if anything I thought batch captured was the one that screwed up, try in batch captured window manually type in from 00:00:10;00 to 01:00:00;00 and let it captured the whole tape, be sure to uncheck all of the automatically divde files option and see if you can work around it.

I'm not batch capturing it. I think it would work out if I did, but I don't know the timecodes on the tape, and it would be double the work.

Does it happen if you just captured it instead of batch captured?

This is driving me nuts, it's tedious to have to capture a thousand small clips AND having to stop the deck everytime there's a break. Can anyone help me?

This is VERY unusual. In using the the program in my personal production company for 5 years I have never seen this and I have never seen it reported. I know that is not helping much but at least you know it is not normal.

Have you checked all of the settings on the deck as well?

yes, I've tried everything, including ignoring errors when there's a timecode break, and it doesn't work.

    Automatic Rewind at Timecode Break

I'm capturing footage from a Mini DV from a Sony DSR-11 deck. At every time there is a rec stop, the capturing ends and the deck starts rewinding automatically like it was the end of the tape. No one in my job seems to know how can I fix it, and I've searched these boards for answers, only to find nothing.
