  • Capture to External Hard Drive

We are using Edius 4.6 Our crews routinely travel for Sports, and would like to capture pool feeds onto an external hard drive.

I can't find out how to tell Edius to place the captured material on an external HD. Can anyone walk me to this setting??

    Many thanks!!

    This is an easy way.
Make a new project save it in a folder on the external disk.
Capture will go to the external disk.
When done copy the project file (not the source footage) over to your internal disk.
    Your set.

    Note****
You can also leave the project on the external disk so you can take the project to whatever Nle station you want.

In addition to what Steve said, if you do a direct capture, go to Settings>Application Settings>Deck Settings and tick the Confirm Filename and then tick Before Capture. That will allow any capture to go to whatever drive you assign it to.
