Problem solved - a rendered file not having the filte was 'lurking' out of site above the timeline. The moral of the story being that you should not attempt to edit immediately after a 24 hour flight from Oz to UK!!!!

Video Filter in 720 x 1280 50p
When applying a video filter such as white balance or Y curve to a 720 x 1280 50p clip, the effect is seen on both the viewer display and external monitor when making the adjustment, but is not visible when returning to the time line, rendering does not change this. In 1920 x 1080 50i the effect is seen as expected. Is this a known fault with V6.61 software?
