it is very hard to bring those clips close... In cases like that I prefer to alter both clips with strong filters and fx, (black and white maybe?)Leave a comment:

Not white balance....
Roger,
Here are two quick alterations on your jpegs.
White balance is not going to do the job for you. It's a totally different look - one lit by top blue daylight and the other by ambient orange lighting, which gives a different texture - differences brightness and contrast, gamma and of course color. Here is an altered set of your pix which I VERY QUICKLY altered with individual RGB settings, saturation, contrast & brightness, and gamma corrections - all available in the EDIUS effects. Once you have a balance you like, you can then save the alterations as a preset and apply to all day pix. And with a little time, get MUCH better results than I did in 3 minutes.
Also - this may not be what you're looking for at all. In that case, no harm done, and best of luck.
Cheers,

Your images are like (ahem) day and nignt, but getting close. The daytime whites look really hot and to bring them all down to match the evening will kill the blacks.
I'd try to darken the original clip to where the blacks are fairly crushed. Copy this clip to a higher video track , disable the filters and add the Screen Keyer. You can adjust the rubber band to get the blacks back and brighten the whites.
Watch your waveform/vectorscopes on this one, it should be pretty easy.
Skin tones may suffer also, so it may help to watch the saturation.Leave a comment:

Thanks Aristotelis I did try that without much change, presume I'm doing it the right way.
Put white balance filer to clip1, use clip2 to reference the white balance with the color picker on Black, White & Grey
Attached a couple of jpegs to show what I am trying to do.
Get white on clip 1 nearer to clip 2

daylight to evening color change
Hi can anyone advise the way to change some clips which were taken inside a marquee in daylight to match clips taken in the same place in the evening.
For instance the daylight clips have the roof of the marquee as very white but the evening clips have the roof as a mid grey color.
I would to like insert some of the daylight clips into the evening shots but the difference is quite dramatic.Tags: None
