  • Dreaded Blue Screen!

    Hi Guys,

has anybody had the experience of the dreaded blue screen. Everytimes I open up a file to bring into Edius 4.6 the whole thing just collapses and the blue screen pops up. Its the same if I try and open windows media player or VLC player... Getting a little worried about what to do.

I have all the new downloads from microsoft and the only hardware was an extra disc and this started before that.

It would also help if you would describe your system and what other software you are running.

In most cases a BSOD is indicative of a hardware problem (or compatibility, drivers, etc..)

Some RAID cards (like my Highpoint RocketRAID) seem to fail disgracefully when a certain kind of drive error is encountered. Kept BSOD-ing my machine when it tried to synchronize the array.
