  • Capture Hi-8 video

I have a lot of Hi-8 tapes. I capture these connecting Sony EV-C500E to Edius NX Bay (S). Using Canopus DV codec I can use Scenalyzer to break down the file in clips. I have however the feeling using the canopus HQ codec the final quality (on DVD) is better. But HQ codec is not accepted by Scenalyzer.
Any suggestios to obtain HQ clips?

    Thanks, Koen

You will have just as good a final product using Micrsoft DV CODEC or the Canopus DV CODEC for SD video. (imho)

If you have lots of Hi-8 don't sweat the CODECs.
