  • Looking for Canopus HQ information

I know that there was a white paper about the codec but I can't find it anymore on the company's pages. I seem to remember some details, but don't know if this information is still up to date:

    1. The codec works with 1440 x 1080 resolution.

    2. The codec is variable from 30mbps - 300mbps.

    3. The codec works in 4:2:2.

Wasn't there talk about a HQ+ codec, too?

    Thanks in advance for infos.

Thanks, Timo but this paper deals with the HD codec most of the time. HQ is just a part of your white paper.

I must have been ina time warp- what did happen to the HQ+ codec? Is it still available, was it an option? No mention of it anywhere on the site except for an icon here and there.

HQ+ is HQ - it's all rolled in together, to avoid the thinking that HQ+ is a separate product (purchase) - something that was up for consideration at one time, but thankfully never came to fruition.

If you are using EDIUS 4.xx, you have HQ+ already! If you have EDIUS Pro/Broadcast 3.xx, you don't have HQ+.

              Hope this explains things.

Oh great, thanks. I just haven't been able to find out what was added, there's little information.
