  • EDIUS SP/SDI card remote 9 pin does not works

    Hello.

I have ensambled a system with EDIUS SP/SDI card for a customer that already ows four EDIUS SP systems.

When a BETACAM DIGITAL DVW-M2000 is attached to this system via 9pin RS422 cable, EDIUS can not find such VCR. The matter is that in other SP system, not SDI, remote works fine. Any one has some experience with this and can suggest anything?

Another question. This VCR also has RS-232 conector. Can EDIUS SP be connected to RS-232 ( edius conector is RS-422).

    Thank you in advance.

    EDIUS VERSION IS 4.6

select an in and out on timeline

click print to tape and choose RS422

click VCR settings and click check for deck ID

if the ID is found, click apply and ok and all is welll

if the ID is not found, maybe the SDI version does not come with info on this deck? or the cable is faulty? or the deck is switched to local control?

      Thank you.

But ID is not found. We get an error message " VCR not found". We are going to try wtih a new cable. If not success, try to update to 4.61 version. And wait an answer from GV support.

Make sure the input button on the front of the VTR is selected ie 9pin
It had me chasing around for a while before I noticed the buttons and solved the problem.
