  • Audio - Old "alt+y"???

ok - in edius like 3point something- I used to have an "alt+y" keyboard short cut- that would pop up a little tiny window that let me manually set the DBs or % of the audio EXACTLY... I HATE the rubber bands and such...

I cant find a keyboard shortcut to that audio window- did they get rid of it??
if not- what is the new shortcut to that window! ( eduis 4.61?)

Best to scroll through the keyboard shortcut list. There are LOTS of shortcuts that aren't mapped to keys by default, and the default keys changed between v3 and v4.

It's unbound by default in 4.x - have a poke around in the 'unassigned' list of shortcuts: Settings > Application Settings > Customize >Keyboard.

Remember, you can type in search terms in the keyboard mapper dialog to help find what you're looking for.

I dont even know what it is called... ( grr) I never wrote it down from V3 - ( assuming it would be in the 4 versions) anyway - they canged ALOT of names too from v 3 to v 4 ! ... Just wondering if someone knew the shortcut ( OR the name of the control... ) I will look again through my unassigned and post if I find it- in the meantime- any edius gurus- Help? !

            Ok -
I am officially an idiot/retard ( although I dont think I am allowed as a white person to use those words anymore- considering it is politally incorrect now-a-days) But I digress...

I found it - and THANK YOU!
If you right click the rubber band ( which I have been doing for a year now- but didnt realize this function was under my nose) the new name of the function is "move" and the keyboard shortcut is num del ( which I dont know what that is ) so I reassigned it as num"0" ... THANK GOD- I have been looking for this FOREVER!

can I suugest to the canopus/edius developers, that in the future - if you are going to rename functions that do the same things to post a list on the site regarding the name change and the keyboard shortcut change?? thanks soo much!

Oh - and I am still looking for a fix for my white balance...
            thanks agiain!

You do know there's a keyboard shortcut template available for v3 (for use in v4), right?

Bad audio section in Edius, somtimes to complicated, but in other editing aplications same thing i want Edius to be bether than other :) Thanks for fade in out... And shift+R (dont have connection with audio but...:))
Ok dont work for me keyboard short cut. I dont have assignet nothing for numpad del (that is . on numpad...) in application settings/keyboard shortcuts I find two move functions ,,Move all rubber bands'' and ,,Move rubber band point''
when assign some shortcut nothing hapens (clip selected + shortcut) on mouse right click working... For years im using panport & balance filter and my user presets +/- 3,6 and -9,12,14,16 dB for adjusting audio level, in last month using Sonalksis Free stereo VST plugin (have +18 dB). I cant use audio mixer (on same track have two or more instrumentals with different levels)
How to make this thing to work on shortcuts? What Im doing wrong?
By the way where is shortcut from Edius 3, select selected track from cursor to end?
                    My Englesh disaster.... sorry

do you have Edius 4.61? that would be a good start

                      shift+end = cursor to end
                      shift+home = cursor to beginning

Edius3 shortcuts can be imported with the import button, browse for it on the installation CD

Alt+Y = Move all rubber band points
Y = Move rubber band point

so, if you want to raise or lower the overall level, click any node and press Alt+Y and type a larger or lower number

if you want to raise or lower individual nodes, click a node and type a higher or lower number
                      Attached Files

                        No I have Edius 4.54
                        shift+end = cursor to end
                        shift+home = cursor to beginning
This works but select all tracks I want select only selected track

Alt+Y = Move all rubber band points
Y = Move rubber band point

I dont know for that, now work (must be selected node for work) but seems to me to complicated five mouse clicks more and if forget disable waveform on 100 clips...
Logical for me for this function is just select clip + shortcut = adjust volume OK...
I will use my user presets is easy way for me.
                        My Englesh disaster....

                              1. untick sync mode
                              2. hold shift+alt as you drag clip. all clips on that track will follow where ever you move, left or right, as soon as the move has started, you may let go of shift+alt and the clips will continue to follow as long as you move
