    I use the YUV curve and my waveform monitor is sitting on the bench in front of me

    on RGB stills you would lift the bottom left to 16 and drop the top right to 235

    with videos, it will depend on how it was shot, that is why the waveform is essential in getting correct levels

    thanks anton. i understand your point but i was hoping i could use a more photodhop style interface for doing this ie: pulling in the limits on the actual histogram/waveform. The way your suggesting is i have the waveform window open then use the col bal filter on the clip.

    yes, the waveform monitor switched to IRE and intensity slider on around 70%

    One thing I love about photoshop is the level control for luminance it. With the use of the histogram that pops up in the window, it allows the user to move the left and right levels in to the ends of the histogram.

    Is there anything similar in any filter Edius offers? This would make it a breeze to make simple luma adjustments.
