  • Edius 4.5 Trim Mode

I am totally confused with the new trim feature on Edius 4.5 and how it works. I am trying to a transistion on the timeline, but I am not able to ripple the entire timeline with it.

In other words if I have 10 clips on the timeline all with transistions between the clips and I want to change the 3rd clips transistion point
and start the transistion a little sooner before it dissolves into the 4th clip I want to be able to drag that transistion on the 3rd clip but have everything after that clip simply ripple without changing the transistion points clips 4,5,6,7,8,9 etc....

In Edius 3.5 that was a snap I can't seem to figure it out in 4.5

As usual Canopus/Grass Valley never puts out an A-Z tutorial
on how to truly edit with Edius not even anything to purchase.
which for the life of me I don't understand!

At any rate if anyone could be of assistance I would greatly appreciate it.

    If you go here:

you will get all the tutorials you need to work with 4.5
Besides the tutorials there are many how to documents.
So in essential Canopus/Gv has provided tutorials.

KH has made alot good documents.

I have been using Edius 3.5 for several years. On the site you posted much of it is just very basic and there aren't any documents I can find on the Trimming
      mode for 4.5

        select the transition

push , to move left 1 frame
push . to move right 1 frame

        each push is 1 frame

hold shift and push , to move left 10 frames
hold shift and push . to move right 10 frames

what trim mode do i use? It doesn't work the way it did in 3.5 where I would just grab the transistion and move it and the rest of the clips going forward would move with it. Am I explaining this correctly?
Am I making any sense to you? lol

          thanks again

You are just amazing! I wish you would produce your own video tutorials
on Edius from beginners to advanced I know it would sell extremely well
              here in the US.

              Thank you again Anton,
              You are the best!
