Mark & Kenneally - Maybe I'm misreading Mark's request, but what about the "layout" tool which allows us to arrange a GUI layout, save it, then recall it at any time? Or are you talking about colors, etc.?
PS - Mark - was in Nantes 2 years ago on our yearly France Canal boat trips. Beautiful city. I'm envious! (My wife and I rent our own boat - have for 19 years. No one on it except the two of us. Glorious. Canaled up to Rennes and Josselyn and back.)
A bientot,
Alan
Thanks, Kenneally. Mark, if you really want to accomplish your desire before GV takes note, here's what I've used for a while, and it works quite well. There's a macro-record program called Workspace Pro (make sure it's the Pro version) - about $39 for the personal version (free trial download). It can be found at:
Look at the "comparison" between regular and Pro - and then you can download the Pro program for a free trial.
It's easy to learn - but the editing is where the trick comes in. Record a Macro - using keys and/or mouse clicks (for instance opening the "GV" menu) - then key clicks to load a layout. Go to "edit macro" and delete all the "mouse moves" and the "delays". Then resave the micro to whatever "keyclick" you want to activate the macro. Program does NOT have to be running to activate the macro. Each macro takes maybe 1 1/2 seconds to run - changing layouts or anything else you might want to do that the EDIUS keyboard shortcuts cannot do. Or any other program for that matter. Problem? - give me a hollar!
Cheers,
Alan
