External RAID 5?

I have a project coming up that I'll be capturing in HQ codec and will use about 1.8TB of space. I'm looking at the Calvary 4TB esata external that they sale at Newegg. Does anybody have any experience with these type of systems and will they handle Canopus HQ codec?

A single drive can handle 2 HD HQ streams easily, but obviously for security purposes RAID5 is much better. I would take a look at the Sans Digital RAID
