NVIDIA now have a feature that can automatically detect what board you have, and what drivers it needs..

Most video drivers are categorized by series (1300, 1500, 2600, etc) and the downloads are usually one giant does-all program anyway. So it's hard to go wrong.

If it does go wrong, there's always safe mode to uninstall.

Have you tried "System Restore" to step back a few weeks in time to see if there's culprit there? It's worked for me!

    ok -

I went to that site for Nividia - and there is no listing for the fx 2500m so I wouldnt want to update the wrong driver>>> ?

BUT - I did uninstall and re-install edius- and it still has the same problem- so that didnt help at all!

White balance is a HUGE color correction - and to not be able to use it really defeats a huge purpose for me ! I am really dumbfounded on WHAT to do - and it USED to work JUST fine ... and another Eduis user posted the same problem on VU - so I dont think it's my system... ( esp if it USED to work ok)

anyone think of another fix?? - actually - I just got an idea- Im gonna try it - and if it works Ill post it!

why? it does not take long, less than 5 min and you won't lose any of your custom settings

in any case, I think your graphics card driver is corrupt, check the properties to see exactly what card it is and download the latest driver from http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

then uninstall existing driver and reboot

then empty temp folder as usual (a must in my books)

then install new driver and reboot

then reset screen resolution to your requirement, usually the maximum possible

    ok -
I change the screen layout to default - nothing...

I looked at the overlay options- and I dotn see how any of those features are affecting my white balance screen - is there a specific setting I should have ?

I beleive I have a Nivdia Quadro FX 2500M card? I am not really up to date on how to find the card - but I am figuring that must be it - ? everything plays well -

I think maybe after the system crashed for the upteeth time- that amybe it affected my white balance screen - so my q is - is my only option left is to uninstall and reinstall Edius?? ( I really dotn want to have to do that ~)

    Hi Sheila,

It looks like a video memory issue.
Have you updated your video drivers lately? Sometimes newer is not better.

Maybe White Balance is getting its toes stepped on by Edius itself. I'd try resetting the Edius screen layout to default.

    Hang in there... :~/

    White Balance Unuseable! Help!

    HEY -

I had Edius 4.52 running - and somewhere along my editing workflow I put the white balance feature on a clip and ( it USED to work FINE) now I get this screen:
I can't access any of the black, grey or white buttons or color balancing circles - I am really frustrated!

I tried downloading the lasted upgrade - thinking that may fix it - but it is STILL useless with the same problem - any idea on what is causing this or how to fix it - ?? ( I posted on www.videouniversity.com and another user over there said he is have the same problem too!) HELP!

    Sheila!
Working...
