Borders and shadows don't relate to the image shape for some reason, e.g. a portrait or square image gets a landscape shape border or shadow. How can I get these right?

With 3D PiP you can't get this right. Border & shadow always apply on the full frame, not on parts of the frame. This is related to the limited alpha support of Edius.Edius X - Edius 9.52 Pro - Win 10 64 - AMD-Ryzen 9 3900X - 32 Gb DDR4 - ASUS-PRIME X570-PRO - Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER - SSD M.2 1000 Gb system + 3 x 3 Tb storage - 2 x 23" Full HD Monitors - M-Audio Studiophile AV40

Thanks, that's a bit disappointing but hey-ho I can live without the borders.Barry Weare

I don't know if this will help you but I use 3Dpinp alot with stills, and know the problem your having, what I do is use the croping tool, say the left side first and then keep croping till it hits the left side of the image, then repete for the three other sides, this then allows me to border and shadow the picture only.
