I can assure you that TMPro has some Neanderthal implementations, but once you know how to make a fire without a match, you will actually sort of like it

Gee, that was easy. Thanks again. TMPro is not intuitively designed, but when you find out how to make it work, it's really quite nice. It seems to me that character generators have traditionally been a little quirky. Their design roots go back well before Windows so they don't always work exactly as us Windows-brain-washed souls expect.

Thanks Anton, I'm firing up my editing machine now. If I recall correctly someone, probably you, explained this a long time ago, but it really didn't sink in. I'll set it up right now.

It would be so helpful if someone would put out a basic training DVD that cost less than the program...say for about $70.
Does this type of training for Title Motion Pro plus Quick titler exist?
Frustrated and Lazy when it comes to reading manuals...
Thanks...

you edit the 8 icons so they all do what you wish for all your typical titles, then click update the default template in template manager
from now on, all your 8 custom styles are there by default
then you can change them again and add to template manager as a new default2, so now you can add a new title, first select default2 from dropdown, then start typing
then you can change them again and add to template manager as a new default3, so now you can add a new title, first select default3 from dropdown, then start typing
you can do this until you have all you need

I can do most of what I wish to in TMPro, but the specific item Ralph cites has me frustrated too. How the heck can you set up the little panel of type styles with the styles you like to use? I'm convinced there must be a way to do this.

LOL....lets hope this helps...:....what I do, is after making a title, I save as..., and place it in a special folder with a name....the next time I want a title with the same style, colour, etc, when I create a title, I import that title, and make the changes....works 4 me, but I must warn you, it leaves you with a lot of different titles....that is why I give each a specific name..you will have to create your own logging style........
