When I want to edit on the timeline I can only unlink within 1VA but can't seem to unlink where video is in 1VA and audio in 1A etc. Is this normal?

Right click on the audio or video and then select ungroup. This has the same effect as unlink and allows you to move them separately of each other.

Of course you can always copy the audio in VA and then paste it into an Audio track and then delete the audio in VA. There is no link in this setup.Comment

You could just map the audio to track one and have it doen automatically! ;)
