  • Keyframing Filters

    Hello

I'm using Edius 4.60 but I have a problem regarding the possibility to keyframe the attributes of a certain filter (ex.: mosaic) over a period of time. What I see now is that one can only affect a clip globally not having the advantage of keyframing.

    Can anyone help please?

    Thank You.

If you first apply the blend filter and then inside that choose any other filter (mosaic) you can have some basic keyframing...

Yes, thank you.....I've notice this, but it is not a true keyframe situation. In this case you'll only keyframe the transparency between the first filter (which can be nothing) and the seccond one, but without changing their attributes over time.

I was wondering if ther is a plug-in available for this.....in this case I don's see how it can be made.....

      Thanx.

Unfortunately thats the only way that you can keyframe the built in filters in Edius...

You might want to take a look at boris and vitascene plugins...

It is not always appropriate, but in some situations you can chop a clip up into a series of shorter clips, customize the filter settings for each, then dissolve between them. Very cumbersome though ...

As we are working on the keyframing for all of the filters the blend filter can help. You can place the same filter on both sides and have the filter change over time.

This is not true keyframing but it helps somewhat.
