I am only running the software version with 4.6 so there should be no issues with add-on cards.

    Thanks for any input.

I have two Dell towers that I bought through Dell's refubished site. A Vostro 400 for about $550 and an Optiplex 755 for about $600. Both Core 2 Duos with a fast FSB. It's an affordable way to get Windows XP. They give me real time performance until I add a lot of filters. They do not handle 3D PIP very well so unless you are doing a lot of filters all of the time with 3D PIP the refurbed side of things could save you a lot of money.

You should be fine. Dell usually uses OEM Intel motherboards so those are always good.
