    When using a dvc pro deck connected w/firewire capturing stops every once in a while whenever I go to digitize a full 20 min tape. As a result I am getting a lot of files that are only 10 to 2min in length. Help. , timecode does not break on tape so I do not know what is going on.

    Have you checked that none of the other clip breaking options are enabled? There's four different criteria that EDIUS can use to break clips up during capture.

      No I have not checked clip breaking options. Where can I find that setting?

        application settings -> deck settings->automatically divide files
