Problem after upgrading from Edius4 to Edius 4.6

Hi

I am a new user. facing a problem after switching from 4 to edius 4.5.
Unable to open the project of Edius 4 with the newer version 4.5.
even after upgrading from 4.5 to 4.6 facing the same issue. cannot open the projects of 4 & 4.5 in Edius 4.6.

Pls. help.
My system configuration : MotherBoard : Intel DG33FB, Processor : Core2 Quad, 2GB Ram, 300GB HDD.

I think this is a first...
It's hard to imagine what your problem is!

I'd uninstall v4.6, delete the Edius folders, reinstall v4, finish my projects, upgrade directly to v4.6, then get back to work.

Still getting the error :
"Cannot open the Project file.
0x8007000d : The data is invalid."

Before upgrading, the file was working very well.

Does it mean I'll not be able to open the file of a previous version in the newer one?

oooooooh... that doesn't sound good!

v4.61 should open all valid v4 and v3 projects.

If not, your project data may be corrupt. :~(

Have you tried importing the project as a sequence, into a newly created project in 4.61?

1. Create a new project
2. File->Import Sequence

I'm on 4.54 and I can still open all my old v3 projects... It sounds like your project files are corrupted.

i also have this issue.i am unable to import my v5.5 projects(sequence) in v6.1. will u tell me is their any additional software or plugins required for this.

If you are working on the project for a while you should have some extra auto save project files in a backup folder, try and use one of those to open.

The plugins from v5.5 don't need to be installed with v6.01 unless you actually used them in your project. If you used a built-in filter that was renamed such as Whitebalance / 3-Way Color Correction, the name will be translated when you open the project in v6.01.

Be aware that once you save the file in a more recent major Edius release, you will no longer be able to open it with an earlier release.

copy/paste the 5.5 project file, this will add the name copy to the project file

now open the copy in EDIUS 6.08 (there is no 6.1) (there used to be a 6.01 but that was full of bugs)

i don`t know which plugins is installed before.i installed fresh window and edius v5.5 but still not able to open...:(

will you tell me which additionaal softwares is required with this.is this issue is due to no extra plugins is installed which is installed before...

i have just v6.01 latest version.cz of bugs i again come back on v5.5
