Hi Guys,
Just need to know how to do this, I captured HDV footage at 1440 X 1080 and imported it to the time line, I went to output it to DVD and the DVD option was not high lighted, my questions are will Edius down convert this to burn it on to a DVD? Is there a setting that I need to enable to do this? I ended up closing down edius and opening it using SD preset then opended the HDV footage and the DVD burn option was highlighted, Why won't it highlight from the HDV preset? Would like some help on this please.

Hm, what is your HDV project settings?
My project settings HD 50Hz 1440×1080 50i allow DVD creator to start...

Always be sure that you're using an interlaced project setting if you plan to make use of DVD Creator--since DVD spec displays interlaced content, you need to give it interlaced content.

Correct. DVD Creator cannot re-encode progressive content to interlaced for DVD production.

You can still use ProCoder Express for EDIUS (or the full ProCoder) to output DVD-compliant streams though.
