You might be able to get something happening by selecting multiple clips within the bin, using the right-click 'Convert' option and saving out as HQ to a folder that has been marked as a ProCoder Watch Folder. Conversion of multiple clips will be a one-by-one process, but it will handle more than one selected clip in the bin (as of v4.5).
It adds a fair few steps of processing and time, but it could be a possible solution for automated conversion to a final delivery format.

I think other experts will have to over this one. As far as I know, EDIUS doesn't support this mode of operation.

Not that I know of. EDIUS doesn't allow you to "cut" clips into separate pieces and send individual clips to another application. But, why are you doing that in the first place?

is there any way to export many clips at once in a batch encode from either from the timeline or the bin window. in fcp you can select your clips and put them in the bin then all clips in the bin can be sent to the compresser to be encoded.
any ideas, many thanksLast edited by flickapolitan; 06-26-2008, 12:51 PM.Tags: None
