NX card not working

My nx card has stopped working and I suspect a driver. Does either the hx-e1 or rx-e1 have something to do with driving the nx card set? thanks,

what makes you think it has stopped working? are you missing the video output?

if so, go to project settings and make sure it has not jumped to OHCI mode

(N)HX-E1 is what you want, drivers-wise

in that case run the setup.exe found in the drivers/HX-E1 folder of the installation disk or downloaded installer

then reboot

Pay close attention to the black internal connector cable.
IMO, the only really cheesy bit of hardware.

Not only must you connect the internal BLACK cable, you should also connect the card's internal firewire ports together as well.

NX problems continue

I thought I was in great shape as Edius lists nx options but crashes when I attempt to use them......thought I'd take one more shot with the forum before contacting tech support..

A crash at startup sounds like a system-related issue. You are probably much better contacting tech support to begin the trial-and-error process.

Hardware question

We had two perfact working systems with Super micro X7dwa, one with HX-E1 and other with RX-E1 and HD BX1000. after we install and uninstalled edius 5 tail version they both stopped working. I reinstalled Win XP SP2 then Edius drivers manually then Edius 4, HX-E1 machine all works but the moment you select any of the inputs of HX-E1 for capture edius crashed (goes non responding). On RX-E1 machine when you start Edius capture from SDI ok it works but all lights stay on on HDBX1000 like self test. when you stop capture edius crashed cant play back anything. What are we missing? Bio pci setting or win XP fixes? please help

Did you reformat the Harddisk first, then install WINXP on top of it? What happened to your backup? You should have taken an image backup of the WINXP before you install EDIUS 5 Trial. At least, that should spare you this agony now.

You right but its not me actually its one of my customers they called me after they had messed up everything. So whats the way out.Only HX-E1 machine been reformated not the RX-E1. But both behaving exactly same. feel like a bios pci issue. Any suggestion?

I fail to see why this should be a BIOS issue - unless your customers messed up the BIOS settings as well? If you want to play safe, go into BIOS and reset everything to "failsafe" mode on one computer, and then format the HDD, re-install WINXP - followed by EDIUS again. What WINXP level are your customers running - SP2 or SP3?

Yes exactly thats what I thought in the first place. But when you reformat whole system and start from zero its like buying two new computer which you know are compatible because they were both working a day ago and installing edius on both of them and still fail with exactly same results. Assume I just bought a new computer with super micro X7DWA mobo how to install RX-E1 with HD BX1000 on it?
