  • component to firewire?

Does anybody know if there is such as cable that converts component to firewire? I'd like to feed a component HD signal into my firewire NX breakout box for capturing. This is the only output of this particular source of video.
    Thanks!

Component = analogue, firewire = digital, to convert between them you will need rather more than just a cable. That's why Edius SP costs more than Edius NX!

ADVC700 is our 'lowest' level YUV to FireWire converter - but it only handles SD component.

Thanks! It looks like the ADVC-HD50 is the one I need. My source has an HDMI out and that should work for me.

Please keep in mind that the ADVC-HD50 does HDV, not FullHD:

Converts 1280x720 HDMI to 1280x720 HDV, and 1920x1080 to 1440x1080 HDV

So if your source is 1920x1080 you'll end up with 1440x1080.
